Gelorup

A Tranquil Bushland Retreat

Red Tail Cockatoo in Gelorup

Tucked away east of Dalyellup, Gelorup is a peaceful semi-rural community where homes blend seamlessly into the natural bushland. Its Noongar name comes from Gelora, a native bee drawn to the area’s beautiful banksia woodlands.

Life in Gelorup is all about space and serenity. Short walking trails wind through Michael Tichbon Park, the grounds demonstrate what ongoing revegetation efforts for degraded land can achieve and honours conservationist Michael Tichbon OAM. The Gelorup Nature Trail is home to towering tuarts and hidden wetlands teeming with birdlife. Equestrian lovers will find plenty to enjoy at the Bunbury Horse and Pony Club, while families can take advantage of excellent local sporting facilities. Just minutes from the coast and city, Gelorup offers the best of both worlds — seclusion and convenience.
